Limasol Bankası Female Employees donated into Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Women Shelter House on 8th March International Women Labourers Day
Limasol Bankası Supports Women at All Times
Stressing the importance of 8th March, International Women Labourers Day, with its statement “Not only on 8th March, but we support women at all times” Limasol Türk Kooperatif Bankası has always stood by women and supported women with advantageous products specifically designed for women and social responsibility projects actualised in the earlier years.
In the name of Limasol Bankası female employees, Unit managers at the Bank made a donation into Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Women Shelter House to empower and meet their needs.
A visit was paid to Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Solidarity and Education Centre in order to deliver the donation collected in the name of yhe Limasol Türk Kooperatif Bankası female employees. At the visit, Limasol Bankası Administrative Manager of Executive Board Akıle Tatarlar, Corporate Communication Unit Manager İpek G. Halim Taşkapılı and Corporate Communication Unit officer Ceylan Çınarlılı were present.
Limasol Bankası Corporate Communication Unit Manager İpek G. Halim Taşkapılı and Administrative Manager of Executive Board stated, “As female labourers of Limasol Bankası, we are making our donations in order to contribute into the wellbeings and empowerment of the women who are residing at Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Women Shelter House. We hope that this support sets an example to other establishments as well.”
Sibel Demirpençe, Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Society Works Unit Supervisor, indicated in her statement that Women Shelter House has been embracing women since 2016. Indicating her pleasure by the visit, Demirpençe thanked to Limasol Bankası family and stated:
“Women can reach us and seek support via dialling 155 or 183. There are 7 women currently residing at our house and we are trying to cover their needs. In 2018, we constructed a new building that meets the needs of the women. In this new house, there are 12 rooms with a capacity for 48 women. Women can accommodate themselves in this house with their children. If needed, the capacity can be enhanced. We strive to offer the best conditions during their visit to our house.”
Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality Women Shelter House Supervisor Name Sarıkaya conveyed her gratitude for the visit and indicated:
“We listen to the women; understand their needs and try to meet them. Here in our shelter house, we live with them and share their obstacles. In a way, we are accompanying their lives. We are trying to get women to take their steps forward in their new lives. We host them while they are ready to manage their own lives with more power and support. This condition and our position is a point of honour.”
