The Special Board Meeting of Limassol Turkish Cooperative Bank Ltd. was Held

 

Limasol Turkish Cooperative Bank Ltd., one of Turkey’s long-established banks, celebrated its 86th anniversary on June 9, 2025, and held its Special General Assembly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The Special General Assembly Meeting of Limasol Turkish Cooperative Bank Ltd., convened by the Registrar of Cooperative Companies in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 114 on Cooperative Companies and the Cooperative Companies Bylaws issued under Article 54 of this law, was held on June 4, 2025, in the Cultural Hall at the Bank’s Head Office in Nicosia. The agenda was to elect four Board Members from among shareholders nominated for three-year terms.

The Special General Assembly Meeting, chaired by the Chairman and Board Members appointed by the Registrar of Cooperative Companies, began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. It continued with a speech by Chairman of the Board Gülhan Alp to the shareholders.

In his address to the shareholders attending the General Assembly, Chairman Gülhan Alp stated that the bank had a profitable year despite the economic challenges of the past period. He thanked all employees, shareholders, and Board Members who contributed to this success. He expressed his belief that a productive General Assembly would be held with the participation and contributions of shareholders, in line with the principles of common sense in cooperatives. He expressed his hope that the General Assembly would be beneficial for Limassol Türk Kooperatif Bank and all stakeholders. He thanked the attending shareholders personally and on behalf of the Board of Directors.

Following his speech, a vote was held to elect the Board Members, the sole item on the agenda.

Following the vote and counting process, which took place in a democratic environment, the Board Members Gülhan Alp, Mehmet Bahtiyar Tolon, Halil Başaran, and Seniha Metiner were elected to serve three-year terms at the Bank.
